There’s so much going on at Watergate Bay for families from supervised sessions, a newly refurbished games room complete with Lego station, early supper and babysitting options.
Supervised sessions are included as part of your stay.

Sessions include beach activities (wellies and coats essential), craft workshops, cookery classes, science experiments, and imaginative play.
XA Club (8-12yrs)
XA Club activities include beach sessions, sports tournaments, film nights, cookery skills, team games, craft workshops, quizzes, and board game nights.

Beach School school holiday sessions educate and inspire children and teenagers about the coastal environment through various games and activities.

Packed full of toys, arts and craft areas, and quiet corners for storytelling, our dedicated playroom for younger children is suited to a variety of activities.
Messy play, music, and rhymes, sensory and heuristic play in a calm, stimulating, and supportive environment. Each child’s routine, including feeding and nappy changes, is incorporated within their play session.
The outdoor play area will be available to use until 12.30pm on Friday and Saturdays, and from 5.30pm daily.

XA Club (8-12yrs)
XA Club activities include beach sessions, sports tournaments, film nights, cookery skills, team games, craft workshops, quizzes, and board game nights.
The XA Club sessions run in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays and every afternoon and evening in school holidays.
The outdoor play area will be available to use until 12.30pm on Friday and Saturdays, and from 5.30pm daily.
From firepit cookery and bushcraft to imagination and storytelling, children will build confidence and social skills in Watergate Bay’s coastal environment.
Beach school sessions take place during July and August. 6-15 years.
The baby monitoring service can be used in all our restaurants, including The Beach Hut.
If requested, you can collect a camera from the front desk team and we give you a tablet for you to use as you move around the hotel. If using the service, you are not permitted to leave the hotel grounds and it is recommended that you check on your children regularly. Responsibility for children remains with the parents at all times.
Currently, the baby monitoring service are not available in the Village family apartment.
Our registered babysitters are available between 6pm and 1am. Requests can be made by submitting an enquiry form ahead of your stay.
All our babysitters are Kids’ Zone staff, with up-to-date DBS checks and Paediatric First Aid. The minimum booking time is two hours. Availability is limited, so please give as much notice as possible.
For same day cancellation, a two hour fee will apply.

Bring your rockstar moves to the test with mega dance offs, music video making and sing offs. Get creative, designing and making your own puppets, learn the art of diablo and finish off with a spectacular west end inspired fashion show!

Celebrating our Cornish heritage with camping inspired den building, carnival crafts and beach cleans along with pasty and scone making competitions.
Legends & Mythical Creatures
We’ll be developing the skills needed to tame dragons, learning the werewolf howl, taking some flying lessons from a certain wizarding school and whipping up some truly disgusting potions.

The games room
Emphasising quality family time and young people's well-being, our reimagined games room now includes Lego stations, a Giant Connect 4 wall and bright new board games. Arts and crafts sessions, family yoga, storytelling, pizza making and much much more.
The games room is free for you and your family to use, except when supervised sessions are running.
