Winnow transformed

Banjo Beele redesigns a Beach Retreats apartment at Watergate Bay

Banjo Beale won series three of Interior Design Masters and the prize contract to redesign a self-catering Beach Retreats apartment, located in Watergate Bay.

Design style

The winning designer, Banjo Beale brought a touch of Australian style to Winnow with his trademark casual, coastal and cool design. Charred timber cladding in the living area, natural textures within and a colour palette of orange, blue and green reflect the wilds of the Atlantic coast outside the floor to ceiling windows.

Beach Retreats have now revealed Banjo's transformation of the apartment where the warm textures and sustainable design compliment the hillside location overlooking Watergate Bay.

Get the Look: Winnow Design Notes

Interior Design Masters was a rollicking rollercoaster around the country that ended in gorgeous Cornwall. Transforming Winnow to reflect the beauty of the county was an incredibly exciting challenge and I’ve loved working with the Beach Retreats team.

— Banjo Beale

Stay in Winnow

The self-catering apartment, Winnow is located 250 metres away from Watergate Bay beach. The four-bedroom apartment comes complete with a kitchen, dining area, a large decked balcony area and can sleep ten people.
